Please bear with us at this time. The club has a very large junior presence - currently serving approximately 200 children!! However, please be mindful that the club needs additional volunteers to assist with the set-up and running of the proposed groups - please get in touch if you are interested. It is extremely difficult for the clubs junior committee (consisting of 3 people!!) to support additional teams without additional parental support.

Grasshoppers enjoy a day at Elland Road
The Under 9s and Under 10s enjoyed a great day at Elland Road on Saturday. Over 70 of us made the trip and witnessed a buoyant Leeds United beat Blackpool 3-1. The players and coaches were invited to represent the club by walking around the pitch at half time.
Huge thanks to Adam Ryding for arranging the trip - his mission to recruit more Leeds fans is going from strength to strength... here are some photos from the day.

Nike and Wigginton Grasshoppers FC have announced that the club will become an Official Kit Partner with sportswear giants Nike from 1st June 2014.
The scheme will see Wigginton Grasshoppers FC be one of only a handful of clubs to partner with Nike UK within the North Riding County FA area. It is an agreement between FA Charter Standard Community Clubs and Nike UK with regard to the purchase and supply of Nike products for use by the club and its members. As well as branding support from Nike and the opportunity to be visited by professional players and England legends, the benefits of becoming a Nike Partner Club include:
•Funding to send club coaches and volunteers on FA accreditation courses.
•Community Club days at St George’s Park, including coaching seminars and club management workshops
•A dedicated online club web shop to be launched in July. This will see club branded Nike clothing sold and delivered direct to players, coaches and officials through the clubs website.
•Free gift of kit for the club depending on the annual order submitted.
As well as gradually every team wearing Nike kits and using Nike equipment and balls, the initiative serves to raise standards at the grassroots level and will run for 3 years from June 1st 2014.
Club Chairman Mike Blacker said "We are delighted to partner up with a world class sports organisation such as Nike. Not only will our players and coaches benefit from using excellent Nike products, one of the key benefits of the scheme is the ability to rebrand all of our junior and senior teams to create one club identity. This was one of the committee’s targets for the 2014/15 season.”
More details on the likely contents of the club shop will be released prior to its launch in July 2014, but preliminary discussions have taken place and it is likely that club branded training and leisure wear, boots and match day clothing will be available.
